Better Every Day
Hi Everybody,
Whizzing thru on this busy afternoon to leave an observation about the world of writing.
Here it is: The world of writing is getting better every day. Or perhaps it’s technology that’s getting better, which therefore makes the world of writing look better.
Whichever it is, I’m pretty happy right about now. This is Week #1 of a 5-week course I’m taking ONLINE called The Chapter Book Alchemist. It’s hosted by the lovely Dr. Mira Reisberg, and it’s packed full of videos, webinars, tips and templates. It even features interviews of top children’s book writers, and offers bonuses where enrollees can pitch to publishers and editors. Here’s the link for more info – http://www.childrensbookacademy.com/the-chapter-book-alchemist.html
I’m happy to be a part of this group, but even more, I’m happy to have access to such groups. A few years ago I would have had to save all year long to attend an intensive like this. More likely than not, it would have simply not been possible for me.
But hey, here I am, rubbing elbows with editors and agents, critiquing for and with children’s writers with 30 or more books under their belts, and sharing hopes and jokes with ordinary every day Joe’s – or in this case, Jill’s – like me.
Whatever you do, put yourself out there. Take a chance; find a class, pay for it and jump in and get your feet wet. Why? Because the world of writing is getting better every day. You can find quality writing courses to fit your specific needs, dreams and goals…every day! And the accessibility of these courses is getting better…you guessed it, every day.
When you take a chance, when you find a class, reach out and give it your all. When you do, you’re sure to find yourself getting better every day. At least that’s what’s happening to me.
So go ahead, pop over to the Chapter Book Alchemist and snoop around. Or if you don’t want to go that route, take another one. Just put yourself out there, and have fun while you do.
Best wishes and happy writing,
Rita Lorraine
