Erma Bombeck Writing Competition!

Hi Everybody,
Hope you’re staying warm. It was 8 degrees in Chattanooga this morning, but at least the temp rose to 29 degrees this afternoon. Nice and toasty. NOT! Anyway, just streaking thru to tell you all about an upcoming competition that you don’t want to miss!

Everybody loves Erma Bombeck. She was the epitome of home life, humor, and all that was right with loving your family.

Every two years, the Erma Bombeck Writing Competition is sponsored by the Washington-Centerville Public Library. (The Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop is also hosted by the University of Dayton, but that, as they say, is another story).

Here are this year’s details for the writing competition:

WHO: Anyone anywhere all over the world who is AT LEAST 13 years old

WHAT: Writing Competition

WHEN: Submission Window – 1/6/2014 – 2/17/2014

HOW MUCH: $15 entry fee

PRIZE: $500 and a free registration to the Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop
