Classy Right Down to the Envelope!
Hi Everybody,
Breezing through to spread the word on a wonderful children’s writer whose work is just delightful…right down to the envelope.
The writer is author/illustrator Chris Robertson, and the book is a colorful little paperback called My Yellow Umbrella.
For those of you who follow Picture Book Depot, my book review site, you know by now that I reviewed My Yellow Umbrella on October 1, 2013, and that I found it adorable.
But for those of you who don’t follow the site, you should know that this book earned 5 STARS for creativity, and also picked up the coveted Picture Book Depot Outstanding Illustration Award for those eye-popping illustrations.

I have to tell you, getting this envelope in the mail was almost as much fun as reading the actual book. And since I’m a bit of a hoarder, there’s no way I can allow myself to toss this envelope…even though I’ll never be using it again.
But I digress…again! This post is not about hoarding, it’s about Mr. Chris Robertson, his book, and his classy envelope.
So now that you’ve seen the envelope, why not pop over to Picture Book Depot and read the entire review. You won’t be sorry; you’ll just want a yellow umbrella — and an envelope — of your own.
