New Voices Competition is Coming!

Hi Everybody,
Hope you’re enjoying your week so far. Just passing through to remind you that the Lee and Low New Voices Award Competition is coming in May, and you would do well to get prepared!

For those of you who don’t know, the New Voices Award Competition is an annual picture book competition for writers-of-color. Writers may submit two manuscripts, but your submission MUST be a picture book. The limit is 1500 words, and the prize is $1,000 and a Lee and Low publishing contract.

Just wanted to give you the heads-up. I don’t know the deadline yet, but I’ll be sure and post it here as soon as I find out. I do know that the publisher is looking for manuscripts only – NO dummy books and NO illustration notes.

So sharpen your pencils and shake the dust off your manuscript, because your opportunity is coming fast.
