Rita’s Law
Hi Everybody,
Murphy has a law, and d*mmit, I have one too.
Rita’s Law:
Hopeful Writer + extra time = relentlessly ringing phone x refusal to answer ÷ nagging guilt = NO PROGRESS ON MANUSCRIPT!
Do something about that telephone!!!!
Best wishes and happy writing,

hi Rita jUST ran across YOUR HISTORY BOOK I found IT IN A FRIEND MOTHER’s HOME (SADLY HIS MOTHER HAD PASSED) AND I WAS HELPING HIM clean out HER HOME. I wanted to get a couple more copies, can you direct me to where I can find more of your work. I luv history esp black history.I would like to expose my grandchild to more of our history than i was exposed to in my early life. Thanks for your work. I do not have a facebook page so i am still with the oldschool way. Pat
Hi Pat,
Thanks so much for stopping by. First, my condolences to your friend on the passing of his mother. I know this must be a very trying time, and I pray that he finds comfort from his family, and from friends like you.
As for the book, you can get it from Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Hamilton Place. Also, the downtown public library now has a small bookstore, and they carry it there. Or you can go to Amazon.com at this link: http://tinyurl.com/4tkng4k.
I have two other websites you might find interesting. The first is AFRICAN AMERICANS OF CHATTANOOGA. It’s dedicated to my book and includes things I found while researching Chattanooga, but couldn’t include in the book.
The second is Picture Book Depot, which is dedicated to the wonderful picture books I read and review for publishers across the U.S. I give the books away when I’m finished, so if you know of some young readers who want FREE books, just drop me a line.
Thanks again for writing, and my very best wishes to you and your friend.
Rita Lorraine
PS – I’m old-school too. My two adults sons are responsible for pushing me into the 21st Century. 🙂
