Breakthrough! Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award

First, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Second, are you ready to break through and get your novel published? If so, this just might be what you’re looking for.

It’s that time again…time for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Competition. Amazon.com and Penguin Group USA are sponsoring the fourth annual Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award competition. Here are a few of the deets:

WHO: Writers age 13 or older, and who are legal residents of a specific list of countries that’s much too long to list here. See website for details.

WHAT: An original between 50,000 and 150,000 words, written by one author and one author only: YOU!

WHEN: DEADLINE: Between January 24, 2011 and February 6, 2011

WHERE: It’s all done online, so if you don’t have a computer, go to the library and use theirs!

This is one of the few times newbies, aspiring authors and unagented authors have an opportunity to get their manuscripts in front of a major publisher like Penguin, so you definitely don’t want to miss out on this competition.
