Narrative is dedicated to advancing the literary arts in the digital age by supporting the finest writing talent and encouraging readership around the world and across generations. The Contest opens September 1st. Here are the particulars:
WHO: all fiction and nonfiction writer
WHAT: short shorts, short stories, essays, memoirs, photo essays, graphic stories, all forms of literary nonfiction, and excerpts from longer works of both fiction and nonfiction.
WHAT ELSE: must be previously unpublished, no longer than 15,000 words, and must not have been previously chosen as a winner, finalist, or honorable mention in another contest.
DEADLINE: November 30, 2009
PRIZE: 1st Prize – $3,250; 2nd Prize – $1,500; 3rd Prize – $750; ten finalists will receive $100 each.
