Rita L. Hubbard Places in Writing Contest
Rita Lorraine Hubbard has placed 3rd out of 142 entries in the Innerlit Moon Award For Best First Chapter Contest.
Hubbard’s entry, entitled Shout When Jubilee Comes, is the story of an uneducated but otherwise brilliant slave who is about to orchestrate a revolt in order to be free. He encounters an educated freeborn who insists on teaching the slaves to read, even though her undercover activities may mean certain death. They both had good, solid plans…until they met each other.
