In the 12X12 in 2012 competition sponsored by Julie Hedlund, participants write 12 picture book drafts in 2012. That’s right, they write a picture book a month. ANY author and/or illustrator at any level of publishing experience can participate.
Off to Class: Incredible and Unusual Schools Around the World tells the story of children who live in remote mountain-top deserts (that’s right, mountain-top deserts!), in rainforest villages so tiny, they can’t even be seen on satellite, and deep inside caves–yes, caves–that are riddled with bats.
